Who We Are

A School Born from
a Cherished Dream

We have a long cherished dream to do some positive work in a village for the upliftment of the life standard — especially in the field of education. Our village Ramnagar and neighbouring villages are surrounded by lush green fields. The main yields are paddy, potato, mustard and til seeds, and fishery is both a source of income and a beloved pastime.

Our intensive sociological study revealed that despite economical constraints, the villagers were eager and anxious to have modern educational facilities for their children. A sizeable part of Ramnagar and adjacent villages is inhabited by Adibasi people who also want their children to compete with the best.

  • Founded on 1st January, 2016 Sahajpath opened its doors as a Bengali Medium school with special focus on English education.
  • Registered Non-Profit Trust Operates under Global Society for Rural Welfare, registered with the Govt. of West Bengal.
  • Inclusive & Community-Driven Welcoming children from all communities including Adibasi families, with special attention classes for every child.
  • Computer Literate from Day One Every student receives computer education with internet access — essential to compete in the modern world.
