About Us

Who We Are

We have a long cherished dream to do some positive work in a village for the upliftment of the life standard, especially in the field of education of the wards of the villagers. Our economic stringency and fund crunch have not deterred us from moving onwards. Our dream has come true.

Our village Ramnagar and other neighbouring villages are situated in an exotic place surrounded by lush green fields. Main yields of the villages are paddy,
potato, mustard and til seeds. Scatteredly, there are big and small ponds. Not only fishery is one of their sources of income, but also it is their pastime.

Our intensive sociological study revealed that inspite of economical constraints, the villagers were eager and anxious to have modern educational facilities
to their wards. Incidentally, it requires to mention that a sizeable part of Ramnagar and adjacent villages is inhabited by Adibasi people who also want their children to compete with others in the same breadth.

In the above backdrop, we have formed a trust in the name and style of ‘Global Society for Rural Welfare’ (Regd. with the Govt. of West Bengal,
Regn. no: S/2L/45987 of 2015) with eminent personalities on the Board of Trustee.

Our first endeavour was to establish a school for the children of the village Ramnagar alongside the surrounding villages having multi-dimensional facilities,
where children while learning from Books in the classrooms, will also have facilities like sports, dance, singing, art and drawing, recitation and impromptu speech as extra curricular activities. Our dream was fulfilled when we could start a school – Sahajpath – a Bengali Medium School giving special stress on teaching English as well, on the first day of January, 2016.

Sahajpath has provided all sorts of Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) to the students. As a basic component of modern education,
here computer with internet have been simultaneously being a part of everyday learning. The result is that all the students of Sahajpath can become a computer literate which is a must to compete in the modern world. Side by side, a computer literate Adibasi student can also socialize in her/his own cultural milieu through instrumental or material elements of his/her culture that our school provides to run the process of special community education.

Our school is housed in a luxurious building having open space for the children to play while learning. We have classes from Toddlers to LKG, UKG, I, II, III and IV. In future,
we have plans to upgrade the classes.

We have good and competent teaching staff along with mother Teachers who always take good care and inspire the children in the process of learning.
Attention of the parents is specially drawn to the factsthat meticulous care is taken for the inattentive students who are unable to learn side by side with other students. Exclusive classroom has been set up to teach those students in special classes giving raft attention to make them competent and also to make good their deficiencies.

We hope and believe that with sincere, honest, diligent and industrious efforts, our success is inevitable.

We fervently seek active support and assistance of the villagers in our efforts. The viewers of this message are cordially invited to suggest their views for the improvement of Sahajpath.
If they wish, they may donate generously for the upliftment of Sahajpath, because it is a non-profit making organization

Our Infrastructure

Our school is housed in a big elegant building inside a spacious compound. It is surrounded by various trees making it a more beautiful place for the children to learn and play.

This is the only school in an around our village where we have smart classrooms for the students, even for the Toddlers. The school imparts Computer education, Laptop having internet facilities, Smart TVs with kids’ programmes, sound system for singing, recitation, impromptu speech, etc. We have provided Projector with a large screen for the students to show them various programmes for their learning.

We have installed Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) camera for 24 hour surveillance of the school building, which will also act as watch-dog for the students.

We hope that our students will become computer-savvy to compete in the globalized world in future.
